Originally codenamed A07 during development, the Xiaolong was launched in March 2023.

The Haval Xiaolong is only available with a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre four-cylinder plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain and mated to a 2-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT).
