Sepultura noted the cover on their Facebook page saying, "Yesterday, in Brazil, we celebrated the Grandparents Day and look what we've found: a Slave New World version sung by a grandmother of 67 years old! She's from a grindcore band called The Grindmother. You can read a little bit more about The Grindmother in a article published by Decibel Magazine." Grindmother has played live with her band 58 times, with dates in Germany, Japan, Canada and the US. In July 2025, she announced her retirement due to dementia. She is slated to join Cattle Decapitation for two dates in December 2025 as a farewell bow.
