Rowing for Imperial College London, Whittaker won the inaugural Men’s Student Coxed Four at Henley Royal Regatta in 2004. Whittaker came to prominence in 2007 after he won the
Scullers Head of the River Race representing Imperial College at the time. In 2008 he was part of the winning crew for the Visitors Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta.
