Roughly half a year later, Frosmo secured an angel round from highly distinguished investors and individuals, such as Risto Siilasmaa. During 2010, Frosmo developed and launched Social Optimizer, their first product aimed for website personalization. It was one of the first of such tools to make use of Facebook's like button plug-in, which was released in April of the same year. The plug-in acts as a gateway for detailed visitor data, as VentureBeat explains: While the data collection and analyzing capabilities of the company's software got positive feedback, the UI was deemed to have a poor design. For example, a part of their solution called Social Optimizer, a tool responsible for displaying personalized messages, used pop-ups that were "too ugly to click".
