Elias Rodriguez, leader of the party, responded to the complaint and said that he "will present an appropriate defense to refute this accusation". On April 9, 2025, the leadership of FPV voided the contract of Evo Morales's candidacy. Elias Rodriguez said that the reason behind this decision was because of disagreements between FPV's leadership and Morales on who is going to become a candidate for vice presidency.
