The frigate tuna, frigate mackerel or alagaduwa (''Auxis thazard'') is a
species of
tuna, in the
family Scombridae, found around the world in
tropical oceans. The eastern Pacific population is now regarded as a separate species by some authorities, ''Auxis brachydorax''.
