. He orders Jake and his son named Ranger to spy on the Pilgrims while Reggie and his daughter named Jenny spring the Pilgrims’ turkey traps. Jake and Ranger discover that the Pilgrims have begun preparations for Thanksgiving, and where they keep their weapons. Jenny is unconvinced that Reggie is from the future, but is impressed with his accidental unorthodox way of springing turkey traps. They are intercepted by Standish, and Reggie sends Jenny into orbit aboard S.T.E.V.E., validating his story. Reggie asks Jenny to go to the future with him when everything blows over, but she refuses to leave the flock. Jake reveals to Reggie about why he is trying to stop turkeys from becoming Thanksgiving dinners: Instead of growing up on a free-range farm like Reggie, he grew up in a factory farm. From the time that each member of his family was born, they were fattened up on formula, except for him because his mother kept him hidden from the scientists who worked there. One night, she tasked him with escaping with a clutch of eggs to start a flock of his own. He managed to escape, but the eggs were taken by the scientists. Shortly afterward, the Great Turkey appeared and gave him his mission. He thinks that stopping turkeys from becoming Thanksgiving dinners will make up for his failure. Reggie reluctantly goes along with Jake’s plan to attack the settlers. They blow up the weapons shack, and rescue Ranger’s friends named Amos and Furley, who had previously been captured. However, Jake inadvertently leaves a trail of

Reinvigorated, Reggie time-travels to the night that Jake let down his family to send the young Jake on his mission. Reggie goes back to the 17th century to stop the attack, inadvertently trapping Standish in the time stream.
