Political career
Quennell was first elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature in the
provincial general election of November 5, 2003. The NDP government of Premier
Lorne Calvert was returned to office in that election. On November 21, 2003, Premier Calvert appointed Quennell as attorney general and Minister of Justice, as well as the Minister Responsible for
