Status and Description

The genus ''Flata'' has historically included more than two hundred species, many of which have subsequently been transferred to other genera and families. Three non-oriental species currently included here are "of uncertain generic affinity".Peng L, Fletcher MJ, Zhang Y-L (2012) Review of the Oriental planthopper genus Flata Fabricius (Hemiptera: Fulgoroidea: Flatidae) with the description of five new species.
