. The winner and runner-up of the tournament will earn the right to play in the Candidates Tournament 2026. The Women’s section will be held in parallel at the same time and venue, and its top two finishers will qualify for the Women's Candidates Tournament.


Format

The tournament has an 11-round Swiss format. The games use a classical time control of 100 minutes for the first 40 moves, then 50 minutes for the next 20 moves, then 15 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30 second increment from move 1.


Tie-breaks

Tie-breaks between players who finish on the same score will be determined, in order, by the following tie-breaks: # Average Rating of Opponents Cut 1 # Buchholz Cut 1 # Buchholz # Direct encounter between the tied players # Drawing of lots.
