. In November 2004, Pison ran for the presidency of Vlaams Belang but was not elected. From 2006 till 2009 he was also elected municipal councillor of

. In 2010 he left politics and the bar of Brussels to study international relations. Pison re-entered politics in 2019. From 2019 until his dismissal in 2022, he was accredited parliamentary assistant (APA) at the European Parliament. Despite his earlier dismissal, Pison applied again for a job at Vlaams Belang, but was refused by the party.


Controversy

In 2022, Pison contacted the far-left news site Apache with allegations about his former employer. Vlaams Belang denied the allegations and points to Pisons personal and political motivation for the allegations. Neither legal proceedings nor journalism could prove any of the allegations thusfar. In the same year, Pison was invited to speak at the so-called Seliger-camp, a youth festival known for its ties to the regime and as a propaganda instrument for Moscow.
