Braverman is the daughter of mathematical statistician . Braverman's mother, Ludmila Mikhailovna Tsirulnikova, was also a university-level physics teacher, whose father was Soviet weapons engineer . Braverman is the mother of theoretical computer scientist Mark Braverman.
