. In 1979 the Eidsfos Historic Foundation (''Stiftelsen Gamle Eidsfos'') was established to preserve the old ironworks community. Parts of the old ironworks have since become incorporated into a museum (''Eidsfoss Jernverksmuseum'') which is associated with Vestfold Museum (''Vestfoldmuseene'').
