. The original idea of the club was to provide an area for all Egyptian shooters to express their hobby. It was founded in 1938 by a royal decree from
King Farouk I of Egypt and then was called The Royal Egyptian Shooting Club. The first president of the club was a cousin of Farouk, Prince
Soliman Daoud. The club has its own football team that is participating in the
Egyptian Third Division.
Nowadays, It is not only the Egyptian shooters but for every one who wants to play any sport or to develop any hobby, the shooting club will help by providing class pitches and platforms for several sports and hobbies. It is a large club, with many members living walking distances and enjoying the convenience of close proximity to an array of restaurants, coffee shops, desert destinations and a small souq. The club is also child friendly with many playgrounds and sports activities for kids to do. In addition to sports the club also provides government services and helps with travel arrangements that are planned by the club administration.
