(TSU). From 1918 to 1950, Uznadze was Professor and Head of the Department of Psychology of TSU. In 1935 he received Dr.Sci. degree in Psychology. In 1941 he co-founded the Georgian Academy of Sciences (GAS). From 1941 to 1950 he was first Director of the Institute of Psychology of the GAS (now the Uznadze Institute of Psychology). In 1946 Uznadze received title of Meritorious Science Worker of Georgia. Main fields of scientific activity of Dimitri Uznadze were: philosophy and psychology. He was also author of Theory of Attitude and Set and founder of Georgian school of the psychology of pedagogics.
