He finished the 2023 season playing in nine games with one start where he completed 40 of his 64 passing attempts for 525 yards and six touchdowns, while also rushing for 328 yards and four touchdowns on 59 carries. Heading into the 2024 season, Dampier was named the starting quarterback for the Lobos for their week one matchup versus Montana State. On December 5, 2024, Dampier announced that he would enter the transfer portal.
