Each Infrastructure-as-a-Service cloud existing today provides its own API. The purpose of Deltacloud is to provide one unified REST-based API that can be used to manage services on any cloud. Each particular cloud is controlled through an adapter called a "driver". As of June 2012, drivers exist for the following cloud platforms:

Fujitsu Global Cloud Platform,
GoGrid
GoGrid was a cloud infrastructure service, hosting Linux and Windows virtual machines managed by a multi-server control panel and a RESTful API. In January 2015, Datapipe announced the acquisition of GoGrid.
