Early career

Babu joined the Kannada film industry in the early 1980s as an actor, but later on became a filmmaker. He worked as an associate to many top directors such as

Death

Babu was admitted to M. S. Ramaiah Hospital on 2 November 2013 after he complained of abdominal pain. He died of a heart attack in the hospital on the morning of 3 November.
