in Peace River—Westlock, and earned 5.5% of the vote. On May 14, 2022, he was elected as the new leader of the party. The Maverick Party was deregistered by Elections Canada on February 28, 2025, after "failing to provide the Registered Party's Annual Financial Transactions Return and auditor's report for 2023," and Krieger ceased to be leader.


Personal life

He has worked as a truck driver, an oilfield contractor and the owner of an oilfield paramedic service.
