In June, 2019, he was confirmed as the representative of Abia State at the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) alongside 29 other representatives from other States of the Federation. He was named as one of the beneficiaries of ₦84.7billion meant for nine oil producing States which was diverted by the Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris and others.
