Cheryl is a Mormon. In 1975, Cheryl married PBA bowler William "Jay" Robinson, a 3-time winner and 8-time finalist on the

. During their 47+ years of marriage, they raised 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren. Jay passed away in March of 2023.
