, Australia, completed primary school at Kenmore South State School and secondary school at Brisbane Boys' College. He always wanted to be an actor and loved performing in home videos from a young age. He grew up in a close knit family of three boys (one older and one younger brother). Cottier started taking acting classes at the age of twelve at The Australian Acting Academy and graduated from secondary school in 2009, where he was drama captain. Cottier enjoys playing music, something that runs in his family; his dad plays guitar, brothers play saxophone and piano. Cottier himself has played drums since aged nine and was part of
