Gavrud Rural Districts were separated from the district in the formation of
Bavaleh District.
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the district's population was 80,304 in 19,927 households.
The following census in 2011 counted 78,282 people in 22,343 households.
The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 70,284 inhabitants in 22,109 households.
