Earlier at the 2009 Australian Swimming Championships, Prosser alongside Townsing, Ryan Nolan and Justin Griggs set an Australian Championship record in the 4 × 100 metre freestyle relay with a 3:20.67. Prosser's anchor leg was swum in 48.99.
