He was a member of the House Agriculture, Rural Economies and Veterans Affairs Subcommittee for the Veterans Affairs Division, and of the Finance subcommittees for the Capital Investment Finance Division, the Transportation and Transit Policy and Oversight Division, and the Transportation Finance and Policy Division, which he chaired. He chaired several incorporations of the Transportation Finance and Policy Division subcommittee through the years. He also chaired the General Legislation, Veterans Affairs, and Elections Committee during the 1993-1994 biennium.
