Bekuh Boom was born Rebecca Rose Johnson on June 21, 1994, in Orange County,

. She stated that she had an interest in music since elementary school. At the age of 11, she began learning how to write and compose her own melodies for her songs. She revealed that she took dance and choreography classes in high school to become a dance instructor and choreographer.


2011–2017: American Idol and Chappell Music contract
