She worked as a professor at the university, as well as director of the Cosmetic Center for 13 years. In 2007, she founded the Baumann Cosmetic & Research Institute (BCRI), an 8,500-square-foot facility in Miami. In 2007, she was inducted into the prestigious American Dermatology Association (ADA). She currently serves on the Entrepreneurship Board at the University of Miami Herbert School of Business.
