''Spathulatae'' for the species having spathulate cotyledons. The type species of ''Spathulatae'' was given as '' B. integrifolia'' (coast banksia), but no further details have been given. Mast and Thiele have foreshadowed publishing a full arrangement once DNA sampling of ''Dryandra'' is complete.
