His solid defence helped the team in both the Euroleague, where Žalgiris reached the first Final Four in 19 years and finished in third place, and the LKL, where Žalgiris won its eighth consecutive LKL championship. Toupane was among the best players in the league cup series, which Žalgiris also won.
