, USA, in 1990. From 1992 to 2009 he served as a classical music critic for the Folha de S.Paulo newspaper ; and from 1999 to 2009 he was editor of PubliFolha. From 1991 to 2005 he was a professor in the postgraduate course in Communication and Semiotics at PUC / SP; he abandoned his university career to dedicate himself more intensively to music.
