Description of the region

Arkhoti Valley is represented, with two villages, and . The village on the left bank of the river Chimghistskali ( ka, ჭიმღისწყლის) has become depopulated. In the Arkhoti Valley there are still the remains of the following villages and towns: Kalotana ( ka, კალოთანა), Ghorghu ( ka, ღორღუ), Tskhsua ( ka, წყალშუა), Kviritsminda ( ka, კვირიწმინდა). There are also places of the following name: Bisna ( ka, ბისნა) in the Bisna Valley ( ka, ბისნას ხეობაში) and Kovgra ( ka, კოვგრა) in the Taniestskali Gorge ( ka, ტანიესწყლის ხეობაში).
