Taxonomy

This species was formerly a member of the genus ''Notarctia'', but was moved to ''Apantesis'' along with the other species of the genera ''Grammia'', ''Holarctia'', and ''Notarctia''. The species was also formerly treated as a synonym of '' Notarctia proxima''.mothphotographersgroup
