Acharya got the idea for the project years earlier when he was an undergraduate at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and had difficulty quickly accessing scholarly literature. He received a Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 2016.
