The Dutch National Opera acknowledges that the controversial guest director engaged in inappropriate behavior during the production of the opera *Fidelio*. "It was the first and also the last time we worked with him," the organization stated. Following a report in *Het Parool*, the opera company detailed Zholdak’s conduct, citing impulsive, unreasonable, and intimidating behavior, including physical contact during rehearsals without prior consent, as well as unscripted scenes of sexual nature.
