Species

''Andinobates'' primarily contained 12 species formerly classified in the genus ''Ranitomeya''. In 2013 ''Andinobates cassidyhornae'', another species from the Andes of Colombia has been described.Amézquita, A., et al. (2013). A new species of Andean poison frog, Andinobates (Anura: Dendrobatidae), from the northwestern Andes of Colombia. ''Zootaxa'' 3620 (1): 163-178. In 2014 another new species, ''Andinobates geminisae'', was discovered in Panama.Batista, A., et al. (2014). A new species of ''Andinobates'' (Amphibia: Anura: Dendrobatidae) from west central Panama. ''Zootaxa'' 3866 (3): 333-352. This brings the current total to 16 species:
