. The prefecture seat is located in Amlamé. Canton (administrative divisions) of Amou include Ouma (Amlamé), Logbo (Témédja), Ikponou (Akposso-Nord) Otadi, Amou-Oblo, Ekpégnon, Kpatégan, Hihéatro, Gamé, Imlé, Avédji-Itadi, Adiva, Evou, and Okpahoé-Sodo.
