. He succeeded his father Ali Ahmed Khan at his death in 1874. Nawab Ali Amjad Khan was very successful in increasing the revenue of the Estate many fold. However, on 12 July 1897 there was a cataclysmic earthquake that caused colossal damage to the region and estate.
