. The total length of A10 is 189.9 kilometers. Currently, the A10 has 3x3 lanes between Riga and the turnoff to Jūrmala, after which it continues as a 1x1 road for the majority of the distance to Ventspils. The road is an important corridor for both passenger and freight transport, especially during the summer months when traffic to the coastal city of Ventspils increases. In recent years, several sections of the A10 have undergone surface renewal, particularly near Tukums and Talsi turnoffs. In 2023, a major reconstruction project was completed on the segment near Kandava, improving pavement quality and drainage. Plans for the future include widening of selected segments with high traffic volumes and modernization of intersections to improve safety. There are also long-term discussions about extending the 2x2 lane section further toward Tukums, depending on traffic demand and funding availability. The current speed limit on most of A10 is 110 km/h and 90 km/h, with lower limits near urban areas and construction zones.
