History

The radio station was originally 4GG on the AM band, and broadcasting commenced on 30 September 1965, with

The station moved to the FM band in 1989 as Triple G – later KROQ, then Gold FM. In November 2019, 92.5 Gold FM was rebranded Triple M Gold Coast. In December 2023, Triple M Gold Coast was rebranded to 92.5 Triple M Gold. It was rebranded as a compromise, as to maintain an acknowledgement of its heritage, while keeping it a part of the highly successful, national Triple M brand.
