The regiment was finally destroyed on September 27 near Wladypol (current Ukraine), and its survivors crossed the Hungarian border, to continue fighting in the West. The flag of the regiment was handed during a ceremony which took place on April 29, 1923 in Nowogrodek. It accompanied the uhlans during the 1939 campaign, and was buried on September 28, 1939 in a forest near Wola Sudkowska (current
