At Monza, the second race was red-flagged on Lap 14 of 19, with 2:20 remaining in the 35-minute race, as the Safety Car would have resulted in the race ending under caution because of multiple Safety Car periods caused by incidents. The excessive number of incidents during the race resulted in a warning by officials during the drivers' meeting of proper driver conduct before the start of the third race.
