2024–present: Reunion for tenth-anniversary project

On September 24, 2024, Source Music confirmed that the members of GFriend would be reuniting in January 2025 for a special project to celebrate their tenth anniversary. Sowon performed GFriend songs at her first solo Asia fan meeting on October 26. Ahead of her fan meeting, Sowon characterized the group’s reunion through a video on her YouTube channel: “Whatever it may be, a reunion… we never really disbanded.
