Youth System At Everton
Everton Under-21s, the youth team of Everton, compete in Premier League 2 and play their home matches at Walton Hall Park. Both the Under-21 and Development squad players have been based at their Finch Farm training complex since its completion in 2007. Jose Baxter
Jose Baxter (born 7 February 1992) is an English former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Born in Bootle, Baxter began his career with his home town club of Everton, where in 2008 he became the Premier League's then-second youngest ever starter at 16 years 191 days ( Matthew Briggs of Fulham held the record – 16 years 68 days – from 2007 until it was surpassed in 2019 by Harvey Elliott). After having been on the fringes of the first team and spending time on loan at Tranmere Rovers, he rejected a new contract in 2012 in order to find regular football elsewhere. He joined Oldham Athletic shortly afterwards, where he spent a successful season before being bought by Sheffield United just under 12 months later. Scott Phelan
Scott Phelan (born 13 March 1988) is an English former professional footballer. Playing career Born in Liverpool, Phelan was a trainee at Everton, captaining the under 18 and reserve sides, until he was released in 2007 without making a senior appearance. He was handed a trial at Bradford City, after which he was handed a one-year contract to become the third young midfielder to join League Two side Bradford City from the Toffees in recent years, following Tom Kearney and Steven Schumacher. He made his league debut when he came on as a late substitute in Bradford's 2–1 victory over Wrexham on 25 August 2007. Phil Jevons
Phillip Jevons (born 1 August 1979) is an English football coach and former professional footballer who was most recently first team coach at EFL League One side Fleetwood Town. As a player, he was a forward who played between 1996 and 2014 for Everton, Grimsby Town, Hull City, Yeovil Town, Bristol City, Huddersfield Town, Bury, Morecambe, Hyde and Stockport County. Jevons came through the youth academy at Premier League side Everton and was promoted to the club's first team squad in 1996. He made only eight league appearances before being sold to Grimsby Town in 2001. It was whilst a Grimsby player that he is notably remembered for scoring a last minute 30-yard extra time winning goal for The Mariners against his home town club Liverpool in the third round of the League Cup in 2001 which gave The Mariners a 2–1 victory at Anfield, having initially being 1–0 down. Peter Cavanagh
Peter Joseph Cavanagh (born 14 October 1981) is an English football coach and former player. Before joining Fleetwood in 2010 he played for Accrington Stanley, where he was made the youngest ever captain of Accrington after joining the club in 2001. He was an England C international in the 2003–04 season. His Accrington career ended in 2009 after he received a ban from the FA for betting against his own team. Leighton Baines
Leighton John Baines (born 11 December 1984) is an English football coach and former professional footballer who played as a left-back. He is currently the assistant manager of Premier League club Everton. Baines started his career with Wigan Athletic, and was part of the team that won the Second Division in the 2002–03 season and was a runner-up in the 2004–05 Championship and the 2006 League Cup final. Ryan Astley (born 4 October 2001) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a defender for club Dundee. He is a former Wales under-21 international. Morgan Feeney
Morgan Feeney (born 8 February 1999) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for club Carlisle United. Career Feeney was originally spotted by a scout for Everton whilst playing football at a secondary school tournament. In November 2017, Feeney made his senior debut at the age of 18 in a UEFA Europa League match against Atalanta. Jonjoe Kenny
Jonjoe Kenny (born 15 March 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Super League club PAOK. He came through the youth system of Everton, where he had been a professional since July 2014. Club career Kenny signed on loan for League One side Wigan Athletic on 21 July 2015.
