Ware, Hertfordshire
Ware is a town in Hertfordshire, England close to the county town of Hertford. It is also a civil parish in East Hertfordshire district. Location The town lies on the north–south A10 road which is partly shared with the east–west A414 (for Hertford to the west and Harlow to the east). There is a large viaduct over the River Lea at Kings Meads. The £3.6m two-mile bypass opened on 17 January 1979. At the north end of the bypass is the Wodson Park Sports and Leisure Centre and Hanbury Manor, a hotel and country club. The former route of the A10 through the town is now the A1170. The railway station is on the Hertford East Branch Line and operated by Greater Anglia and is on a short single track section of the otherwise double track line. Warez is a common computing and broader cultural term referring to pirated software (i.e. illegally copied, often after deactivation of anti-piracy measures) that is distributed via the Internet. The Ware Group was a covert organization of Communist Party USA operatives within the United States government in the 1930s, run first by Harold Ware (1889–1935) and then by Whittaker Chambers (1901–1961) after Ware's accidental death on August 13, 1935. Wares is a Canadian musical project from Edmonton, Alberta, founded by Cassia Hardy in 2013. As of 2018, the live band consists of Hardy (vocals, guitar), Matthew Gooding (bass), Holly Greaves (drums) and Jamie McLean (keyboards). Wares has released one full-length album and four EPs. History Wares began performing concerts in Edmonton in 2013. In 2016, Wares released a 7-inch single, entitled "Missed the Point" on Sweety Pie Records. "Beach Date," the b-side to the single, was nominated for an Edmonton Music Award in 2017 under the category Indie Rock Recording of the Year. In 2017, Wares released their first full-length album, which was self-titled. Ware is a census-designated place (CDP) comprising the main village in the town of Ware in Hampshire County, Massachusetts, United States. The population of the CDP was 6,170 at the 2010 census, out of a total town population of 9,872. It is part of the Springfield, Massachusetts Metropolitan Statistical Area. Geography The Ware CDP is located in the southeast corner of the town of Ware at (42.259965, -72.245841). The CDP is bordered by the town of West Brookfield to the east, Warren to the southeast, Palmer to the south, and the rest of the town of Ware to the west and north. Fort Ware, British Columbia
Kwadacha, also known as Fort Ware or simple Ware, is an aboriginal community in northern British Columbia, Canada, located in the Rocky Mountain Trench at the confluence of the Finlay, Kwadacha and Fox Rivers, in the Rocky Mountain Trench upstream from the end of the Finlay Reach (north arm) of Williston Lake. The population is about 350. It is in the federal electoral riding of Prince George-Peace River. The community is home to Kwadacha First Nation, a Sekani First Nation but a member of the Kaska Dena tribal council. History The area is part of the traditional territory of the Sekani-speaking people, the Kwadacha, and called ''Tahche'' in their language. Ware is an unincorporated community in Union County, Illinois, and is located near Jonesboro. History The earliest inhabitants of the area around Ware were of Late Woodland and Mississippian cultures. A village with four mounds was occupied between around 800 and 1300 A.D. One of the four mounds was destroyed in the construction of Illinois Route 3. The Ware Mounds and Village Site is situated just west of Ware. In January 1839, thousands of Cherokee Indians being forcibly relocated from their lands in Georgia to Indian Territory (Oklahoma) passed through Ware. Because of floating ice the Cherokee were unable to cross the Mississippi River and camped along Dutch Creek. The intense cold at this time led to many deaths.
