Veryday Regionalizations
Veryday was a Swedish industrial design consultancy, headquartered in the Bromma area of Stockholm, with additional studios in New York City, Singapore, Dubai, and London. It was formally named Ergonomi Design Gruppen (English: Ergonomic Design Group) and often referred to as Ergonomidesign; in 2012 the firm adopted the name Veryday. In November 2016, Veryday became part of McKinsey & Company, and today operates under the name "McKinsey Design." In 2024 McKinsey & Co announced that they are closing down the Veryday studio. The company produced more than 350 patents and won more than 240 design awards. In BusinessWeek's 2008 ranking of leading design agencies, Veryday tied as number 4 in the world. Maria Benktzon
Maria Benktzon (born 1946) is a Sweden, Swedish designer, she is known for industrial design with Human factors and ergonomics, human factors. She is a co-founder of Ergonomi Design Gruppen which later became Veryday, an industrial design consultancy located in Stockholm. The company aimed to design improved everyday objects for the home and work. In November 2016, Veryday joined forces with McKinsey & Company, and today operates under the name "McKinsey Design." Bahco is a Swedish brand within the hand tool industry, which is now part of ''SNA Europe'', part of Snap-on. IF Product Design Award
The iF Product Design Award was introduced in 1954 and is annually conferred by the iF International Forum Design. The award, which spans multiple disciplines, has more than 5,500 entries from around 59 nations every year. Red Dot Design Award
The Red Dot Design Award is an international, annual design competition for product and industrial design, brand and communication design as well as design concepts, in which the Red Dot quality label is awarded to winners. The Red Dot Design Award, which is organized by Red Dot GmbH & Co. KG, dates back to 1954 when the "Verein Industrieform e. V." was founded. The competition is divided into the three disciplines ''Red Dot Award: Product Design'', ''Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design'' and ''Red Dot Award: Design Concept''. Participation in the competition is subject to a fee, the submissions are then evaluated by an international jury. Welding Helmet
A welding helmet is a piece of personal protective equipment used by welders to protect the user from concentrated light and flying particles. Different welding processes need stronger lens shades with auto-darkening filters, while goggles suffice for others. OSHA and ANSI regulate this technology, defining shades based on the transmittance of light. Purpose Welding helmets are most commonly used in arc welding processes such as shielded metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, and gas metal arc welding. They are necessary to prevent arc eye, a painful condition where the cornea is inflamed. Welding helmets can also prevent retina burns, which can lead to a loss of vision. Swedish National Museum
Nationalmuseum is the national gallery of fine arts of Sweden, located on the peninsula Blasieholmen in central Stockholm.
