''Unto a Good Land'' () is a Swedish novel by Vilhelm Moberg. It is the second of his four-novel ''The Emigrants'' series. It was translated into English in 1954 and was also published in other languages. Together with the first novel, it was adapted as a film ''The Emigrants'' (1971), directed by Jan Troell. A sequel based on the third and fourth novels was released in 1972. Plot The novel describes the journey of the Swedish Nilsson family (from ''The Emigrants'') from New York City, New York, where they had landed, to Taylors Falls, Minnesota. With homesteading land available, they settle at Lake Ki-Chi-Saga (now Lake Chisago), Minnesota Territory. (Today, the area is Chisago County, Minnesota.) Unto Ashes
Unto Ashes is an American musical ensemble based in New York City that incorporates madrigal, folk, and elements of neo-medieval and darkwave. Founded by Michael Laird and Susanna Melendez in 1997, the band has released twelve full-length CDs on the Projekt label (all recorded and produced by Laird). Previous members and contributors have included Kit Messick, Melody Henry, Spider Grandmother (pseudonym), Jeremy Bastard (pseudonym). The band has continued to collaborate with Paul Ash, Catherine Bent, Sonne Hagal, and Bret Helm from Audra (band). Singer Mariko Sarah Newman left the band in 2008 to work with the German Qntal project and related ensembles. The United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO) is an organization founded on 29 May 1948 for peacekeeping in the Middle East. Established amidst the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, its primary task was initially to provide the military command structure to the peacekeeping forces in the Middle East to enable the peacekeepers to observe and maintain the ceasefire, and in assisting the parties to the Armistice Agreements in the supervision of the application and observance of the terms of those Agreements. The organization's structure and role has evolved over time as a result of the various conflicts in the region and at times UNTSO personnel have been used to rapidly deploy to other areas of the Middle East in support of other United Nations operations. "Unto the Fourth Generation" is a fantasy short story by Isaac Asimov. It first appeared in the April 1959 issue of ''The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction'' (''F&SF'') and has been reprinted in the collections ''Nightfall and Other Stories'' (1969) and '' The Best Science Fiction of Isaac Asimov'' (1986). ''Unto These Hills'' is an outdoor historical drama during summers at the 2,800-seat Mountainside Theatre in Cherokee, North Carolina.
