''Tosh.0'' ( ) is an American comedy television series that aired on Comedy Central from June 4, 2009, to November 24, 2020. The series was hosted and produced by comedian Daniel Tosh, who provided satirical commentary on online viral video clips, internet memes, social media, trending topics, society, celebrities, stereotypes, and popular culture as a whole. The tone was based on Tosh's deliberately offensive and controversial style of black comedy, observational comedy, satire, and sarcasm. The show at one stage reached number 1 ratings for its timeslot among men within the ages of 18–24, reaching millions of viewers at a time. On August 20, 2020, Comedy Central announced that season 12 would be its last, reversing a four-season renewal. Daniel Dwight Tosh (born May 29, 1975) is an American comedian, writer, and producer. After graduating from the University of Central Florida with a degree in marketing, Tosh moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in comedy. His career accelerated in 2001 after a performance on the ''Late Show with David Letterman''. He would go on to appear in other national shows, leading to his own 30-minute special on Comedy Central Presents two years later.
