The Shadow Bureau
The Shadow Bureau is a musical collaboration between Nitzer Ebb’s Bon Harris and Jeehun Hwang, an award-winning songwriter and video game, film, and TV composer. The duo is the main force behind the group with a rotating cast of guest collaborators to serve the project as needed by Harris and Hwang. In January 2011, Harris and Hwang were recruited by independent film company Indomina Media to create a demo reel for several of the company's indie films. They were asked to create non-traditional soundtracks and this collaboration gave birth to The Shadow Bureau. Single Releases The duo's first scored song, "Axis Of Envy" was for the martial arts film ''True Legend'' and featured the vocals of West End Girls singer Isabelle Erkendal and lyrics and vocals by Kraftwerk's Wolfgang Flür. The movie was released in the U.S. on May 13, 2011. The Shadow Bureau's second release will be tied to Indomina's release of the Australian film ''Griff The Invisible'' in August 2011. ''Griff'' ... Bon Harris
Bon Harris (born Vaughan David Harris; 12 August 1965 in Chelmsford, Essex, England) is an English composer, producer, singer and songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is a founding member of the British EBM group Nitzer Ebb, programming Nitzer Ebb's signature sound. He also played drums and synthesizers for Nitzer Ebb, as well as lending his voice to several tracks such as "Let Beauty Loose." Career Since Nitzer Ebb's 1995 release, Harris has become an in-demand collaborator working with Depeche Mode, The Smashing Pumpkins, Evanescence, AFI, Avril Lavigne, Bush, and Billy Corgan, who asked Bon to co-produce his solo album, '' TheFutureEmbrace''. Harris's band, Maven, is on hold as he works on other projects. Harris also worked closely with Marilyn Manson, programming electronics and recording for his 2000 album '' Holy Wood''. True Legend
''True Legend'' is a 2010 martial arts film directed by Yuen Woo-ping in his first film as directed since 1996. The film stars Vincent Zhao, Zhou Xun, Jay Chou, Michelle Yeoh, Andy On, David Carradine (in his final film role before his death), Guo Xiaodong, Feng Xiaogang, Cung Le, Gordon Liu, Bryan Leung and Jacky Heung. The film has been shown in both 2D and 3D, and was promoted as the first Chinese 3D film. It was a rather large financial loss for producer Bill Kong, making only RMB 46.5 million (US$6.82 million) against an estimated budget of US$20 million. It was released in the U.S. on May 13, 2011 by the distribution company Indomina, where it grossed US$62,200 during its run. West End Girls are a Swedish tribute synthpop band performing cover versions of songs by English electronic/pop music act the Pet Shop Boys The Pet Shop Boys are an English synth-pop duo formed in London in 1981. Consisting of primary vocalist Neil Tennant and keyboardist Chris Lowe, they have sold more than 50 million records worldwide, and were listed as the most successful duo .... Kraftwerk
Kraftwerk (, "power station") is a German band formed in Düsseldorf in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider. Widely considered innovators and pioneers of electronic music, Kraftwerk were among the first successful acts to popularize the genre. The group began as part of West Germany's experimental krautrock scene in the early 1970s before fully embracing electronic instrumentation, including synthesizers, drum machines, and vocoders. Wolfgang Flür joined the band in 1974 and Karl Bartos in 1975, expanding the band to a quartet. Wolfgang Flür
Wolfgang Flür (born 17 July 1947) is a German musician, best known for playing percussion in the electronic group Kraftwerk from 1973 to 1987. Flür claims that he invented the electric drums the group used throughout the 1970s. However, patent records dispute this, citing Florian Schneider and Ralf Hütter as the creators. Background In the 1960s, Flür played an acoustic drum kit in the Düsseldorf band The Spirits of Sound, along with guitarist Michael Rother, who would also go on to play in Kraftwerk, and who would later form Neu! with Kraftwerk drummer Klaus Dinger. Post-Kraftwerk In 1997, Flür founded the band Yamo and released the album ''Time Pie'', a collaboration with Mouse on Mars. ''Griff the Invisible'' is a 2010 Australian romantic superhero, comedy-drama film written and directed by Leon Ford. The story is about Griff (Ryan Kwanten), a socially awkward office worker who spends his days being bullied by his workmates. At night he is Griff the Invisible, a superhero who roams the streets of his neighbourhood, protecting the innocent. Ryan Kwanten
Ryan Christian Kwanten (born 28 November 1976) is an Australian actor and producer. He played Vinnie Patterson from 1997 to 2002 in the Australian soap opera ''Home and Away''. After his stint ended, he joined the American teen drama series '' Summerland'', portraying Jay Robertson. From 2008 to 2014, he played Jason Stackhouse in ''True Blood''. Curt Smith
Curt Smith (born 24 June 1961) is a British singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, and co-founding member of the pop rock band Tears for Fears along with childhood friend Roland Orzabal. Smith plays bass guitar, has co-written several of the band's songs, and sings lead vocals on the hits " Mad World", " Pale Shelter", "Change", " The Way You Are", "Everybody Wants to Rule the World", and " Advice for the Young at Heart". Tears for Fears are an English pop rock band formed in Bath, England, in 1981 by Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith. Linda Strawberry is an American artist, director, editor and musician, best known for her work on tours and music videos. Career Initially working under her birth name Linda Rowberry, Strawberry collaborated with Especially For Youth on ''I Know My Redeemer Lives'' (2000) and with David Coverdale on '' Into the Light'' (2001) She spent some time working as a recording engineer, most notably working on Sarah Mclachlan's ''Afterglow'' (2002) which has since sold over 4 million copies.
