The Sand Band
The Sand Band are a British alternative folk band from Liverpool consisting of guitarist / songwriter David McDonnell and bass guitarist Ben Curtis. After working in a music shop together in 2002 and playing together for a number of years, David McDonnell and Scott Marmion formed The Sand Band in 2009. Previously McDonnell played live guitar on Richard Ashcroft’s 2002 Human Conditions tour and The Coral’s 2005 The Invisible Invasion tour while Marmion played in Liverpool band Ella Guru. McDonnell played guitar on and helped record The Coral’s The Curse of Love album in 2005 and helped record their 2007 album Roots & Echoes. McDonnell and Marmion got together in 2009 to record ''All Through the Night (The Sand Band album), All Through the Night'' at McDonnell’s Sefton Park flat in Liverpool. Liverpool Sound City
Liverpool Sound City is an annual music festival and industry conference held in Liverpool, England. It was founded in 2008 by Dave Pichilingi. Sound City was located in Liverpool City Centre venues, such as The Kazimier, The Zanzibar and the Liverpool Cathedral, until 2015 when it was relocated to Bramley-Moore Dock in Liverpool's historic docklands. In 2015, the festival took place on Friday 22 May through Sunday 24 May, with headliners The Vaccines, The Flaming Lips and Belle and Sebastian and several artists including, Everything Everything, Peace (band), Peace and The Cribs. Eighties Vinyl Records
Eighties Vinyl Records (EVR) is a not-for-profit independent English record label based in Liverpool. The label only releases vinyl records by new local artists, as well as some more established bands. History Eighties Vinyl Records was formed in 2012 by Dave Hewitson after winning an auction for a day in a recording studio. The Sand Band who had recently departed from their own record label, Deltasonic, said they would record the first single for the new label. On 17 July, The Sand Band went into Track Studios in Liverpool City Centre to record a single. On 2 November 2012 the first Eighties Vinyl Record single was released, The Sand Band single 'When We Kiss', a limited edition white vinyl pressing. Miles Peter Kane (born 17 March 1986) is an English singer and musician, best known as a solo artist and the co-frontman of the Last Shadow Puppets. He was also the former frontman of the Rascals, before the band announced their break-up in August 2009. The Moons
The Moons are an England, English indie rock band formed in Northampton 2008 by singer/guitarist/songwriter Andy Crofts. The Moons have released four studio albums; ''Pocket Melodies'' (2020) on Colorama Records, ''Mindwaves'' (2014) and ''Fables of History'' (2012) on Schnitzel Records Ltd and the debut ''Life On Earth'' on Acid Jazz Records in 2010. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds are an English rock band formed in 2010 as the solo moniker of Oasis songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist Noel Gallagher.
