The Noid
The Noid is an advertising character for Domino's Pizza created in the 1980s and briefly revived several times. Clad in a red, skin-tight, rabbit-eared body suit with a black N inscribed in a white circle on his chest, the Noid is a physical manifestation of all the challenges in delivering a pizza within 30 minutes. Though persistent, his efforts are repeatedly thwarted. History The Noid was created in 1986 by Group 243, the advertising agency of record for Domino's Pizza. Group 243 hired Will Vinton Studios to sketch the Noid and animate the advertisements using claymation. Advertisements use the slogan "Avoid the Noid". His vocal effects were provided by Pons Maar. Most of the advertisements were narrated by Andre Stojka. Pons Maar
Pons Maar (born August 4, 1951) is an American actor, puppeteer, artist and filmmaker. Career His first feature film as an actor was ''Return to Oz'' (1985), in which he played the lead Wheeler; he also worked behind the scenes as a performance co-ordinator. His work on ''Return to Oz'' led to roles in other fantasy films, including ''The Golden Child'' (1986) and ''Masters of the Universe (1987 film), Masters of the Universe'' (1987). Maar performed as the voice and body model for the Noid in the popular Domino's Pizza commercials of the 1980s. Maar also worked as a performer for the entire 65-episode run of the television series ''Dinosaurs (TV series), Dinosaurs'' and co-starred in the film ''Theodore Rex (film), Theodore Rex'' (1995). ''Destructoid'' is a website that was founded as a video game-focused blog in March 2006 by Yanier Gonzalez, a Cuban-American cartoonist and author. Enthusiast Gaming acquired the website in 2017 and sold it to Gamurs Group in 2022. History ''Destructoid'' was owned by Yanier "Niero" Gonzalez so that he could attend the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in 2006. After being rejected, Gonzalez began writing original editorials and drawing cartoons which were picked up by established gaming blogs like '' Joystiq'' and '' Kotaku''. An itch (also known as pruritus) is a sensation that causes a strong desire or reflex to scratch. Itches have resisted many attempts to be classified as any one type of sensory experience. Enter The Void
''Enter the Void'' is a 2009 surrealist art film written and directed by Gaspar Noé, from a screenplay co-written with his wife Lucile Hadzihalilovic. Set in the neon-lit nightclub environments of Tokyo, the story follows Oscar (Nathaniel Brown), a young American drug dealer who gets fatally shot by the police, but continues to watch subsequent events during an out-of-body experience.
